I can honestly say that I have had a great few months studying here at YTU, despite the horrendously early 8am starts five days a week! The teachers are all very kind and you are immersed (at my level at least) in a completely Mandarin-speaking environment throughout your time here, which is clearly very beneficial towards your Chinese progress. International students come from all over the world, with particularly large numbers of Korean, Russian, Kazakh and Japanese students, making YTU a place where you can make friends with people from all over the world. My Chinese has improved considerably during my short time here and, although I am currently only at YTU on a one-term scholarship, the fantastic experience I have had here makes it likely that I will be continuing my studies at YTU next term.

我可以坦白地说，我这几个月在烟台大学学习，尽管一早8点开始上课，一周五天，但是给我的感觉很棒。老师们都非常亲切，在一个完全的普通话演讲环境中（至少在我的水平），这显然是非常有益于我的中文进步。国际学生来自世界各地，尤其是大量的韩国，俄罗斯，哈萨克斯坦和日本学生，使得我在烟台大学里可以与来自世界各地的人交朋友。我在这里的时间中文大大提高，虽然我目前在烟台大学是一个学习时间为半年的奖学金学生，但是我在这里的奇妙的经历使得我决定在下学期继续在烟台大学学习。
