On the morning of October 19, 2025, the School of International Education Exchange of Yantai University successfully organized the university’s first Academic Proficiency Test for International Undergraduate Freshmen (CSCA). Wu Hongjun, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of International Education Exchange, and Qu Shijin, Dean of the School of International Education Exchange, served as chief examiners. The test aims to implement the relevant requirements of the China Scholarship Council (CSC) on improving the quality of international students studying in China and establish a scientific and standardized selection mechanism for international students. All 2025-level international undergraduate freshmen of Yantai University participated in the test.

The exam started promptly at 9:30 a.m. Before the exam, Jing Kangning, Director of the International Students Affairs Office, provided detailed pre-exam guidance to all candidates. He systematically explained exam discipline, specific procedures and key precautions, helping candidates fully understand the exam requirements and make adequate preparations for the smooth completion of the test.

The entire exam was organized in a rigorous manner, with an orderly examination room and smooth connection between all links. The invigilation work was standardized and in place, ensuring the successful completion of the test.

The smooth implementation of this test has further consolidated the quality foundation of the university’s international student enrollment work and improved the admission evaluation system. It provides strong support for continuously improving the training quality of international students in China and promoting the cultivation of international talents in the future.

In the next step, Yantai University will actively respond to and fully implement the relevant requirements of the China Scholarship Council. It will comprehensively enhance the attractiveness and influence of "Studying at Yantai University" as an international window, and solidly contribute to the construction of the "Study in China" brand.
