The University Holds a Mid-Autumn Festival Forum for Foreign Teachers and International Students

On the morning of October 1st, Vice President Wang Hongbo presided over a forum for foreign teachers and international students to celebrate the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. Responsible persons from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of International Education Exchange, as well as more than 30 foreign teachers and international students, attended the forum.


At the forum, Wang Hongbo first extended his holiday greetings to the foreign teachers and students, wishing them a happy National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. He briefly introduced China’s determination to continuously expand the opening-up of education, the great development achievements made since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the origin and significance of traditional festivals such as the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the situation of the university’s 40th anniversary celebration. He hoped that all foreign teachers and students would actively integrate into local life, take the initiative to understand Chinese culture, and bring the excellent cultures of their respective countries to China, so as to promote mutual understanding, mutual appreciation and cultural exchange among teachers and students from all countries. Vice President Wang required the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of International Education Exchange to establish a regular communication mechanism with foreign teachers and students, provide quality services, and create favorable working and learning conditions for them.



Subsequently, the foreign teachers and students attending the forum spoke one by one. They expressed their sincere gratitude to the university for providing working and learning opportunities, and said they loved the city of Yantai and Yantai University very much. They also hoped to recommend more friends to work and study at the university.
